Programmes were launched in the French region of Burgundy in order to increase the understanding of the social and cultural obstacles for women in terms of occupational fields, considered a priori as male dominated. As part of this programme, the Compagnie du Sablier performed an interactive theatre play called "Lucie, the technician" ; it was aimed at an audience of lower secondary school pupils. It tells the story of a young girl determined to choose a male dominated occupation, and challenges young people to consider their career choice. Representation of professions among youngsters : from resistance to progress. On the basis of a survey of 1149 pupils, this article sheds light on their representations of professions. Diverse world visions are expressed according to individual characteristics of these youngsters. A vast majority of female high school students, especially those in scientific and industrial fields, tend to have a non-gendered approach to professions, whereas boys' gendered stereotypes resist and persist. Youngsters' writings also reveal how much women's and men's traditional roles persist. Sur la base d'entretiens menés auprès de jeunes de moins de 30 ans, aux parcours différents, ce chapitre met en lumière des représentations du monde professionnel qui distinguent ou rapprochent les jeunes femmes des jeunes hommes. International audience; Quelle est la place du travail dans la vie des jeunes ? Leurs rapports au travail se déclinent au pluriel avec une multiplicité d'informations subjectives, tiraillées entre représentations positives et négatives, variées selon leurs parcours. Au-delà de leurs expériences et de leurs attentes, les jeunes interrogés accordent une importance forte au travail, "entre plaisir et contrainte", dans un contexte pourtant caractérisé par une plus grande incertitude et instabilité du marché du travail.

The current study deals with the representation of hospital hygiene. The purpose is twofold: 1- to understand how knowledge about hygiene is acquired by nursing staff during their training (effect of the level of knowledge); 2- to identify how this knowledge evolves while practising a job in direct connection with hygiene (effect of practice). Three groups of participants were questioned: nursing staff (nursing executives, nurses and nursing auxiliaries), students training in nursing care (first, second and third year students) and non-specialist students.
